Welcome to worship at St. Matthew's. Worship is at the core of our Christian communal life. With a variety of options to choose from, you can participate in worship based on your personal preferences and schedule. Please join us in person, or virtually!
Throughout the Year
St. Matthew’s celebrates the Holy Eucharist three times a week.
Sunday, 8am Said Holy Eucharist
This is a said service in our chapel, drawing from the contemporary language of the Book of Alternative Services. Please use the First Avenue door to enter the church; you can find the chapel at the top of the stairs.
Sunday, 10:30am Sung Holy Eucharist
This service is celebrated in our large worship space. It is a sung service, held from September to June, with full choir, children’s Sunday School, and Holy Communion. We offer a coffee hour following the service upstairs throughout the year. This space is fully accessible from the parking lot, and assisted listening devices are provided. (This service takes place in the summer as well, however, there is no choir or Sunday School.)
Thursday, 10am Said Holy Eucharist
This is a said service in our chapel, drawing from the contemporary language of the Book of Alternative Services. Please use the First Avenue door to enter the church, you can find the chapel at the top of the stairs. We offer coffee, tea (and sometimes cookies) downstairs following this service.

The journey from Advent to Christmas begins in the darkness of Advent and moves to the joy of Christmas. St. Matthew’s revels in the music and liturgy of this season, and it is one of the highlights of our year together.
These services offer a worship experience that can be shared by all generations, young and old. They are held on the
last Sunday of each month at 10:30am, from September to May.
Each year, at a Sunday service in September, we honour and celebrate St. Matthew, our patron saint.
Feast of St. Francis of Assisi
The Blessing of Pets is a much-loved tradition at St. Matthew’s. This service takes place annually in October.
All companions (pets) and community are welcome!
Holy Week begins on Palm Sunday and concludes with the joy of Easter. The beauty of this ancient liturgical tradition is profound and unforgettable. If you can, join us for the full week of services to embark upon a stunning journey with our Lord.
St. Matthew’s holds a ‘Blessing of the Bicycles and other forms of active transportation' service annually. We celebrate our stewardship of the Earth by engaging in active modes of transportation with a Blessing of the Bicycles. Bring your bicycles, bus passes, walking shoes, scooters, inline skates, etc. This service takes place annually in April.
The community is welcome!
